Nicole's COM 212: Interpersonal Communication
1.  Three aspects of a workplace culture:  Grocery Store

     ~Norms:  people are expected to talk and communicate with each other so that they can do their jobs more effectively

     ~Artifacts:  cash registers, grocery carts, and shelves all help to identify that it is a grocery store

     ~Values:  people believe that they should cooperate and work well together so that the customers do not feel awkward shopping

     ~Defensive or Supportive:  when a couple certain people work it can be kind of defensive otherwise it is generally a supportive    
                environment

2.  Workplace romance

     ~Advantages:  may help people get along better and work together better whenever they are at work

     ~Disadvantages:  may be bad if they break up an have to work together, if more than one person likes the same person it may cause
                    some tension, they may act inappropriately at work, the business has to make sure that they follow the same standards
                    for everyone
